ELY CITY COUNCIL

SPECIALMEETING

FEBRUARY 7, 2008

Mayor Jim Doyle called a special workshop meeting of the Ely City Council to order at 5:38 p.m. on Thursday February 7, 2008 in the Council Chambers at Ely City Hall. Council Members present: Tom Winkowski, Bill Grove, Mark Banowetz, Stephanie Mai and Bob Ballantyne. Also present – Aaron Anderson City Administrator/Clerk.

The City Council met in special session, pursuant to notice as required by State Code, to conduct a budget workshop session for the FY 08-09 budget.

Budget Workshop Session.

The City Council discussed items related to the FY 2008-09 budget, including: but not limited to: proposed property tax rate, use of TIF proceeds, the library request, capital projects, general personnel budget items, existing and potential debt issues, and matters related to the water and sanitary sewer utility systems. The City Council took no action on any matter discussed during the meeting.

Banowetz, second by Mai, moved to adjourn. Motion carried – 5 to 0. The meeting adjourned at 8:17 p.m.
