ELY CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS

Mayor Dale Stanek called the role at 7:10 p.m. Council members present: Mark Banowetz, and John Smith; Kevin Meskimen, Tom Winkowski and Kris Tharp absent - excused. Guests and others present included: Bill Grove, Jim Miller, Greg Heims; and Cary Solberg and Ed Brinton of MMS Consultants. Mayor Stanek determined a quorum of City Councilmembers was not present and adjourned the session for the purpose of conducting business. Mayor Stanek opened a discussion session for the purpose of hearing a report on the Wastewater Treatment Facility project from the Consulting Engineers and discussing said report. Mayor Stanek noted no action or formal business could be conducted.

Ed Brinton and Cary Solberg, both of MMS Consultants, reported on the status of the Wastewater Treatment Facility construction project, and discussed the report with those present. Items discussed include: the “IFAS” treatment wheel equipment specifications have been approved by the DNR; DNR is expected to issue a “Finding of No Significant Impact”; a revised project cost estimate totaling $3,175,000 was presented.

Mayor Stanek declared the discussion session adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
