ELY CITY COUNCIL

SPECIAL WORKSHOP MEETING

NOVEMBER 28, 2007

Mayor Dale Stanek called a special workshop meeting of the Ely City Council to order at 7:10 p.m. on November 28, 2007 in the Gladys Holets Dining Room at Ely Community Center/City Hall. Council Members present: Kevin Meskimen, Mark Banowetz, Tom Winkowski and Bob Ballantyne; also present Mayor-Elect Jim Doyle and Council Members-Elect Stephanie Mai and Bill Grove.

The City Council met in special session, pursuant to notice as required by State Code, to hold a workshop meeting to discuss the status of current City projects and activities and to discuss future options, projects and priorities.

Workshop Session

Clerk/Administrator Aaron Anderson reported on the status of projects on the Ely Capital Improvements Plan and discussed the report with the City Council and others attending. Topics Mr. Anderson reported on include: the State Street Bridge Project, 2007 WWTP project, Dows Street Subgrade and others.

A discussion of future priorities, projects and pending issues among all those attending followed; topics discussed include: economic development, annexation issues, infrastructure needs and financing options.

Banowetz, second by Meskimen, moved to adjourn. Motion carried – 4 to 0. The meeting adjourned at 8:42 p.m.
