Birth of a Park

 

Excavation and landscaping work for two ball-fields, storm water management areas and an entrance and parking area off Hillcrest Street is scheduled to begin around May 4th.  Check this page for progress on the work, and other stuff on this growing park in Ely.

 

Groundbreaking Ceremony!  Mayor Jim Doyle was joined by City Council members Bill Grove, Stephanie Mai and, Tom Winkowski and Park & Recreation Commission members Dave Rasmussen, Lisa Hinton, and Jeff Hilleman to break ground on excavation work for the Ely City Park Wednesday April 29, 2009.
