State Street Shoulder Project

Plan Specifications

In an effort to extend the longevity of State Street, contractors will be replacing gravel shoulders of the road on the north end of town with paved shoulders. They will also be repairing several damaged areas where the edges of Sate Street have begun to crumble. This project will increase the lifespan of the road, allowing the City to push a full road replacement several more years. City staff are working with engineering staff to move this project forward with construction beginning no later than October 29, 2021.

Notice of Public Hearing

The matter of the of the public hearing on approving plans, specifications, and form of contract for the State Street Shoulder project located in Ely, Iowa, shall come on for hearing on the 2^nd day of August 2021, at 7:00 o’clock P.M., at the Council Chambers of City Hall, 1570 Rowley St, Ely, Iowa. At said public hearing the Council shall consider approving the project plans, specifications, and form of contract for the State Street Shoulder project.
