Ely Fire Dept Donates AED Devices

Ely Fire Department: "Last November members of the City Council spearheaded a fundraising campaign called #GivingTuesday. The goal was to fund the purchase of an electronic vital sign monitoring device. The effort was extremely successful and we were humbled to receive a donation that exceeded the cost of our new equipment.

Members of the Ely Fire Department considered what to do with the excess donation and were excited to find a way to give back and to support our EMS mission.

Tonight several fire department members presented a check for two Automated External Defibrillators for use at the Library and at other City locations/events.

Proud to serve and happy to be able to give back to our community!"

These life saving pieces of equipment will help us better serve and protect our community. You will be able to find one stationed at the Library and one with a City staff member at youth programs/events (or inside City Hall when it is not being used on the go).
