Temporary Stop Signs on State Street

This coming Saturday August 14 is the first annual Ely Open event 36 teams of four will be driving carts throughout town between 8:30am - 4:00pm. There are two golf holes located on the opposite side of State St; on Vavra Dr. and Vista Rd. Participants will use Walker to move from one street to another, however they will still need to cross State St. at the intersections of Vavra and Vista.

In an effort to slow traffic through this area, temporary stop signs will be installed for the duration of the event on Saturday only. At the end of the event, volunteers will remove the temporary stop signs. Additional signage will be installed on both ends of State St. alerting drivers of the upcoming stop signs.

This is temporary for one day only.
