2023 Fall Fest 5k Race Results
The Ely Parks & Recreation Commission is pleased to announce that the 16th annual Ely Fall Fest will be held Sunday, September 17 and Saturday, September 23, 2023. Fall Fest is a family-oriented and affordable celebration that offers a wide range of events for all ages. The event has continued to grow each and every year with attendees coming from all across the state to join in on the fun filled weekend.
Get ready for the best year yet! The 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run will be on Sunday morning the weekend before, September 17. The race will conclude at the park with a free cinnamon rolls and chocolate milk breakfast from My Mom's Bakery and Dan & Debbie's Creamery right here in Ely! On Saturday the 23rd, plan on spending the day strolling through the vendor fair, check out the massive car show, eat some delicious food and be sure to not miss our best Kids Zone ever!
Do not forget to stop by the local businesses in Ely for a drink, a gift or bite to eat while you are in town!

Proceeds from Fall Fest have greatly helped to fund a number of different projects over the past 16 years, including baseball diamonds and a soccer field, a batting cage, ADA accessible playground surfacing, a community ice skating rink, a aga Ball pit and most recently an electronic scoreboard at City Park! Parks & Recreation Commission works diligently to help ensure that our local businesses and other city organizations benefit from Fall Fest in many different ways. We proudly display and promote the area businesses and organizations that choose to invest in and support our event!

The price is $40.00 per space. Event coordinators are now able to accept payments through Venmo. Please email a copy of your paid venmo receipt with your registration to elyiowafriends@gmail.com. You can also drop it off in person at the Ely, Iowa Public Library. This Market is rain or shine. The vendor fair has only canceled once due to weather in all the years we have held this. In that case we held a make-up date the next day. Last year we had about 80 vendors. All fees collected support the friends of the Ely, Iowa Library Programming. To find the application, click here.
