Ely City Park
Located at 1635 Hillcrest Street. This park offers several acres of open area, a fishing pond, direct access to the Cedar Valley Nature Trail, two baseball diamonds, and a concession stand. Ely’s youth sports leagues are held at the park throughout the year. The outdoor area surrounding the pavilion is available to rent, as well as the baseball diamonds. Located at 1310 Banner Valley Road, this park offers the George Reyhons Pavilion equipped with picnic tables, counter space, grill for charcoal cooking, electricity, lighting, restroom, a playground and open space for games or parking. Community Center Park
Located at 1570 Rowley Street next to City Hall, Ely’s oldest park offers half-court basketball, a tennis court, open grass field and a playground.
This eye catching and engaging playground was newly renovated in 2020. The three individual structures invite children ages 2-12 to play in a safe area, half surrounded by fencing. This playground features an ADA 10 spinner and impact mitigation, safety tiles
Located at 1771 Vavra Drive. Vavra Park is a quite and shaded green space, nestled along a creek. Renovations are in progress. Anticipated completion date: Fall 2021. New features will include a covered shelter, frisbee golf holes, horse shoe pits, permanent bag toss, a butterfly garden and minimal playground equipment. There will also be paved parking spaces and an ADA accessible ramp.
