Recreation Opportunities and Activities
The summer offers the Prairie Youth Baseball League (PYBL) to kids in K-8th grade.
T-BALL – Pre K & Kindergarten (5-6 yr olds)
SINGLE A (Coach Pitch) – 1st, 2nd, & skill-based 3rd grade
DOUBLE A (Player Pitch) – Skill-based 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade
TRIPLE A (Player Pitch) – 6th, 7th, & 8th grade
Registration is available from January to March, 2018. The registration fee is $70 per child.
Ely’s Spring youth soccer season is open for 4 and 5-year-olds.
Spring Soccer registration is available from January to March, 2018.
Practices and games will be held at the Ely City Park on Monday nights.
Practices and games will run from 5:45pm – 6:30pm.
There will be two weeks of practice and three weeks of games.
The registration fee is $30 per child.
Ely’s Fall youth soccer season is open for 6, 7, and 8-year-olds.
Fall Soccer registration is available through June to July 22nd, 2018.
Practices and games will be held at Ely City Park.
Practice will be Monday evenings from 5:45pm to 7:00 PM. Games will be played on Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM.
The season will run from July 30 to August 25, 2018.
The registration fee is $35 per child.
Youth Flag Football
The fall offers the Ely Youth Flag Football League (EYFFL) for children ages 6 to 10. The league is broken up into two divisions:
Division 1 (6, 7, & beginner 8-year-olds) and Division 2 (experienced 8-year-olds, 9, & 10).
Registration is available July 2 to August 22nd, 2018.
Practice will be held on Monday and Thursday evenings at 5:45 – 7:00 PM. Games are Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM.
The season will run from September 4 to October 6, 2018.
The registration fee is $40 per child.
Youth Hockey Program
Winter in Ely means Ice Skating and Hockey! Ely Parks and Recreation is offering an Introduction to Ice Hockey program for both inexperienced and experienced participants.
Practices will be held on Saturday mornings from 8:00am – 9:30am. The season will run for three weeks, January 27 – February 10: two weeks of practices and a scrimmage on the final day.
Registration fee is $15 – participants will need to bring their own skates. Hockey sticks will be provided.
