Ely Golf Open

The Ely Open is an a 18 hole par 72 golf outing hosted by the Ely Parks Recreation Department. All proceeds will go towards ballpark improvements at City Park.

This isn't your traditional golf outing. 

Event Date: Saturday, August 14th, 2021
Event Time: 8a packet pickup/hole assignment at the community center, 9am shotgun start from community center

Before the shotgun start, all participants will meet to review play and rules at the community center. 

Entry Fee: $20/person
Entries will be limited to 144 golfers
Foursomes are preferred.
If you are not a foursome, you/your group will be placed in random pairings to fill the event with groups of fours. 

No real golf experience is required.
Golfers must be 18 or older.
Golfers will play their own ball and each person will be scored individually.
Residents who are hosting holes will design their hole and mow a green and a fairway, as well as a tee box in their yard. The Ely Parks & Recreation Department will place the cup, flags, and tee box markers. 

7 iron, putter, and standard golf ball are required. 
Wiffle balls are used at the tee and on the fairways and a standard golf ball is used on the green.
Wiffle balls will be provided.

There will be a men's and a women’s champion based on the lowest individual score. 

Golf carts are encouraged, but will be permitted on hard surfaces only. Do not drive in residents yards and please respect private property and City traffic laws.
