2022 Recap

Wow.. what a year! 2022 was filled with so many exciting events, new activities, programs and overall growth within our community. Ely is a thriving City - a special place that we all call home. Pictured below are a few highlights from the past year. As you can see, the people who live here are what set us apart - you get involved, give back and exemplify what it means to #beEly. Here's to another year full of growth and being together!

• Ely celebrated 150 years! - $5,000 in proceeds donated to All Veterans Memorial
• $10,000 Grant to Ely Legion for All Veterans Memorial
• Intro to Tennis ($1,000 Grant) – New Program
• Sidewalk Obstacle Course Installed ($500 Grant)
• $3,000 grant for Historic Landmark Signs
• $4,000 grant for Girls in STEM - New Program
• $2,500 grant for the Food Pantry
• $1 million grant towards Drinking Water Treatment Facility
• Human Foosball – New Event
• Touch a Truck – New Event
• Parking Lot Picasso - New Event
• Community Mural painted along the bike trail
• Sewer line project almost complete
• Kick started a Municipal Complex campaign
