Giving Tuesday: Give Back by Getting Involved

This Giving Tuesday, the City of Ely is looking for a different type of donation, the donation of time. We have a variety of boards in our community that need members. Each position below requires approximately 1-2 hours per month.

Planning & Zoning Board (1 position) –Review developments, help plan for the future of Ely and get to know our zoning code!

Board of Adjustments (2 positions) – Rule on requested variances of our code. This board only meets as needed and may not meet for an entire year, but it looks great on a resume!

Park Board (1 position) – Help improve our parks and our recreational programs.

Looking to get involved in the community but not sure on committing to a City affiliated board or commission? Consider a Friends group!

Friends of the Library (2 positions) – Help facilitate community events fundraising efforts to support the library.

Friends of Park & Rec – Help facilitate community events and fundraising efforts to support parks and recreation improvements.
