Easter Egg Hunt (March/April)

  • The City of Ely hosts an annual Easter Egg Hunt for the children in and surrounding our community. An Egg Hunt for younger kids is held at City Hall and the older kids are hosted at City Park. This year the Egg Hunt will be on April 16th at 10:00 am.

  • The Ely Open is an 18 hole golf outing for adults ages 18+. The course runs all throughout the city with holes creatively created around residences, outside of businesses and within the parks. No prior golf experience necessary. This event is hosted by the Ely Parks Recreation Department. All proceeds will go towards ballpark improvements at City Park.

  • Hosted annually, the Ely Fireman's Pancake Breakfast is held on the Fourth of July. The Ely Fireman’s breakfast is held in the morning at the Fire Station. The volunteer department serves up pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs. They also offer a hit raffle with amazing prizes - proceeds support for our local Fire Department.
  • Later on in the day at 6:00pm, a parade celebrating Independence Day will make its way around town, beginning and ending at the Fire Station.

Fall Fest (September)

  • Fall Fest is a family-oriented and affordable celebration that offers a wide range of events for all ages and is held the last weekend of September, annually. Spend your Saturday  strolling through the vendor fair, check out the massive car show, play some wiffle ball and be sure to not miss out on the Kids Zone! Click here for more information.

Spook Walk (October)

  • Join the Ely businesses in celebrating Halloween with their annual Spook Walk held from 5-7pm on the last Wednesday prior to Halloween. Participating businesses will have spooky treats, special deals and of course trick-or-treating for the kids! Goodwill donations welcome, proceeds will go toward Ely’s Winterfest. You won’t want to miss this Spook-tackular event.

Pumpkin Float (October) Pumpkins with glow lights on rafts

  • This new spooky event is held at City Park in October. For one special fall night, the City Park pond will come aglow with floating pumpkins. All participants have to do is provide a carved pumpkin and the Parks and Rec staff will provide the rafts and lights. This is a pre registration event as the number of rafts are limited. The concession stand is open selling snacks, drinks, and smores kits while bonfires crack and spooky music plays.

Winterfest (December)

  • This annual event sponsored by the Downtown Businsses in Ely is held on the second Saturday of December. Winterfest is a day full of fun winter themed events. With activities such as cookie decorating, holiday crafting, a hot cocoa bar, horse drawn carriage rides, an elf scavenger hunt, and possibly some snow flurries - this event is sure to instill holiday cheer!
